New legislation governing car accidents compensation has been passed in Ontario. When you are in a car accident, you are entitled to ACCIDENT BENEFITS, but you may also have THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR DAMAGES if you have a “serious and permanent injury”. You should contact a lawyer immediately upon being in a car accident, as benefits may be available to you immediately, and strict deadlines exist for making a claim for damages.
